Kış mevsiminin gelmesiyle birlikte değişen hava koşulları her canlı gibi çiçekleri de etkiliyor. Aşırı yağışlar nedeniyle çiçeklerin kök ve yaprak kısımlarında çürümeler oluşurken, soğuk havalar ise çiçeklerin donarak ölmesine neden oluyor.
Olumsuz hava koşullarına karşı çiçekleri korumak ve yaz dönemindeki
canlılıklarını sürdürebilmek için kışın çiçek bakımına daha fazla özen
göstermek gerekiyor. İşte kışın çiçek bakımında dikkat edilmesi gerekenler
Sulama işlemi çok önemli!
Kışın çiçek bakımında en çok dikkat edilmesi gereken konuların başında
sulama işlemi geliyor. Yetersiz ya da gereğinden fazla suya maruz kalan
çiçekler kısa sürede yaşamını yitiriyor. Kış mevsiminde çiçek sularken mutlaka
yağışlar da hesaba katılmalı ve yaz aylarına göre daha az su verilmelidir. Eğer
sulama konusunda şüpheye düşülüyorsa saksıdaki toprak kontrol edilmelidir.
Toprak nemli ya da hafif ıslak ise sulama işlemi doğru miktarda yapıldığı
söylenebilir. Aynı zamanda kışın musluktan akan su sıcaklığı düşük olduğu için
en az bir gün dinlendirilmiş oda sıcaklığındaki suyla sulama yapılmalıdır.
Kışın çiçekler de örtünmeye ihtiyaç duyar
Kış döneminde soğuk havaların etkisiyle donma olayının yaşanması birçok
çiçek için hayati risk taşıyor. Don olayı çiçeklerin su kanallarını tıkayarak,
kökten yeterli miktarda su ve mineralin çiçeğin gerekli kısımlarına taşınmasına
engel oluyor. Çiçeklerin dallarını hasırlarla örterek soğuğa karşı koruma
sağlayabilirsiniz. Yine aynı şekilde toprak yüzeyinin samanlı karışımlarla
kaplanması köklerin korunması açısından işe yarayabilir. Bununla birlikte don
olayının en çok yaşandığı gece ve gün doğumu saatlerinde çiçekleri kapalı
alanlarda muhafaza edilebilir.
Vitamin takviyesi yapılmalıdır
Çiçeklerin yaz aylarındaki canlılığını kışın da koruyabilmesi için vitamin
takviyesi yapmak gerekiyor. Sulama suyunun içine ayda 1-2 kere özel bitki
vitamini karıştırabilirsiniz. Fakat kış aylarında çiçekler dinlenme dönemine
geçtikleri için çok fazla vitamin yüklemesi yapmamaya özen gösterilmelidir.
Bununla birlikte çiçekleri kışa hazırlamak için yaz veya sonbahar aylarında
gübreleme işleme yaparak başarılı sonuçlar elde edebilirsiniz.
Kışa karşı dayanıklı çiçekler
Kışa dayanıklılık gösteren çiçekleri kasımpatı, menekşe, çuha çiçeği,
yılbaşı çiçeği, kardelen, açelya, siklamen ve manolya olarak sıralayabiliriz.
Soğuk havalarda bile dış mekânlarda kalabilen ve ekstra bakıma ihtiyaç duymayan
bu çiçekler tüm kışı canlı bir şekilde geçirebilir.
